DAY 1: ARRIVAL TROMSO
Arrival in Tromso, transfer with regular airport express bus to the city centre, short walk to Hotel Radisson Blu Tromso**** or similar, check-in.
DAY 2: TROMSO
Tromso is a one of the world’s largest cities North of the Arctic Circle and a city, where modern urban life and breath-taking arctic nature go hand in hand. During morning city tour we get acquainted with the world’s most northern Botanical gardens and enjoy the views of the mountains to the east and south. We continue with a visit Tromso University Museum where we learn fascinating facts on nature and culture in northern Norway and the indigenous Sami people. Following that, we continue around the island, passing Lake Prestvatn with the Meteorological Institute and cross the bridge to the Arctic Cathedral for a visit to this masterpiece with a monumental stained-glass window. In the evening we go to the Aurora Camp where we are equipped with thermal overalls and boots to keep us nice and warm all evening. 300 friendly Alaskan huskies are waiting to greet us and enjoy some cuddles. We enjoy a traditional Norwegian dinner and wait for the Northern Light to appear in the sky..
DAY 3: TROMSO-ALTA
Today we continue to Alta. The distance between Tromso and Alta is about 300 km. The trip takes around 8 hours and includes two ferry rides and a lunch break. The trip takes us through the most stunning mountain landscapes and is something to remember for a long time. We arrive late afternoon in Alta and check in at Hotel Thon Alta***. The evening offers an optional Northern Lights tour. We visit the family owned Sorrisniva Adventure Facility which is perfectly located to maximize our chances of seeing the magnificent Northern Lights. We have an excellent opportunity to learn more about this intriguing phenomenon as well as the history of Alta.
DAY 4: ALTA
Today we start with a visit to the award-winning Alta Museum, located at the site of early settlement of Finnmark dating around 11,000 years ago and featuring exhibitions on local culture and history. Afterwards we visit to the elegant and modern Northern Lights Cathedral located in the central part of town. The balance of the day is reserved for exploring more of this arctic town on our own. The evening offers optional sleigh ride under the northern lights. We travel to a farm in the nearby countryside where we climb aboard a sleigh and get bundled up in warm blankets. The sleigh is pulled by a Norwegian Fjord Horse through the forest and along the Alta River, while we sit back and enjoy the peace and beauty around us. At the end of the ride, we stop at a wilderness shelter where a traditional dinner is served around a warm fire and if we are lucky we are dazzled by the Northern Lights..
DAY 5: ALTA-SAARISELKA
Today we continue south from Alta to Saariselka. The journey takes approximately 6 hours, during which we have the opportunity to take in the breath-taking beauty of the changing Arctic landscape. In the far North of Finnish Lapland lies the popular resort of Inari-Saariselka. The unique northern countryside, national parks, lake areas, rivers and highland fells offer a wealth of opportunities for year-round travel. In winter, the Northern Lights dance across the sky up to 200 days a year. We arrive early afternoon and check in at Hotel Santa Tunturi****.
DAY 6: SAARISELKA-KIRKENES
We continue 270 km further north to reach the Norwegian town Kirkenes almost at the border to Russia. Our eyes feast on the Arctic nature as we make your way up north. We arrive and check-in at Hotel Thon Kirkenes**** In the afternoon we depart for the King Crab Safari – one of the absolute highlights of Northern Norway with the chance to taste the local delicacies known worldwide. Heading out on the Kirkenes Fjord we come face to face with mighty Berent Sea. Once our king crab has been caught it is prepared for a most delicious lunch..
DAY 7: KIRKENES- DEPARTURE

After confirmation, the reservation cannot be cancelled or changed without a penalty. All cancellations will be charged with a minimum cancelation fee of EUR 115.00 per person. Cancellations until 101 days prior to the arrival of the passengers are subject to a fee of EUR 115.00 per person for tours excluding overnight in Glass Igloos, and EUR 305,00 for tours including overnight in Glass Igloos; cancellations 100–60 days prior to the arrival of the passengers are subject to a charge of 60 % of the total cost of the reservation per person; cancellations 55–25 days of 90% of the total cost of the reservation and cancellations made within less than 24 days prior to arrival of the passenger are subject to a charge of 100% of the total cost of the reservation per person. Name change is considered as cancellation and rebooking and can only be done up to 31 days prior to arrival. Name changes will be charged with a fee of EUR 105.00 per name change.
